Rear Oil Seal Replacement

- Remove the automatic transaxle. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the drive plate. (See DRIVE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Cut the oil seal lip using a razor knife.
- Remove the rear oil seal using a screwdriver as shown.
- Install the rear oil with part A of the SST 303-178 (49 UN01 070) and the SST 303-384 (49 UN30 3384).
- Install the studs of the SST 303-384 (49 UN30 3384) as indicated in the figure.
- Apply clean engine oil to the oil seal.
- Push the oil seal slightly in by hand.
- Install part A of the SST 303-178 (UN01 070) and compress the oil seal with the nuts of the SST 303-384 (49 UN30 3384).
- Install the drive plate. (See DRIVE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install the automatic transaxle. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
