Removal & Installation (3.0L Engine)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. Remove drive belt. Disconnect engine block harness connector (if equipped). Disconnect compressor harness connector. Remove manifold and tube assembly bolt from top of compressor, and disconnect manifold and tube assembly. Remove 3 compressor attaching bolts, and remove compressor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure new compressor has proper amount of refrigerant oil. Use new "O" rings lubricated with clean refrigerant oil. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
