Lower Intake Manifold: Removal

Disconnect the fuel line spring lock coupling. Refer to the following:
- For 2001 models, see FUEL LINE CONNECTORS (B2300, B2500, B3000, B4B4000, MPV & TRIBUTE) .
- For 2002 models, see FUEL LINE CONNECTORS (B2300, B3000, B4000, MPV & TRIBUTE) .
- For 2003 models, see FUEL LINE CONNECTORS (B2300, B3000, B4000 & TRIBUTE) .
Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to the following:
- For 2001 models, see UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD .
- For 2002 models, see UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD .
- For 2003 models, see UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD .
Disconnect the fuel rail.
1. Disconnect the six fuel injector electrical connectors (1).
2. Disconnect the fuel pressure damper vacuum line (2).

Remove the bolts and the lower intake manifold.

Remove the fuel rail.
1. Remove the bolts (1).
2. Carefully separate the lower intake manifold from the fuel rail (2).

Remove the six fuel injectors from the lower intake manifold.
Remove and discard the gaskets if damaged.
