Removal & Installation

Remove the camshaft followers. Refer to ROLLER FOLLOWERS .

NOTE: Mark the positions of the hydraulic lash adjusters to make sure they are assembled in their original position.

Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.

NOTE: Inspect the hydraulic lash adjusters for scoring marks and uneven wear in the bore. Install new lash adjusters if necessary.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
1. Lubricate the hydraulic lash adjusters with SAE 5W-20 Motor Oil.
