Removal & Installation

  1. Drain the engine Cooling System.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
  3. Disconnect the five hoses from the thermostat housing and remove the thermostat housing.

  4. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor from the bypass tube.

  5. Remove the bolt, stud, and the water bypass tube.

  6. NOTE: Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
