Removal & Installation

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the block heater power cable from the block heater.

  4. CAUTION: Do not loosen the block heater retaining screw more than necessary for removal.

  5. Remove the block heater.
  6. CAUTION: Make sure the power cable is routed and secured away from rotating or hot components or damage to the cable may occur.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
