Installation Note

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2004 Mazda B4000, 2004 Mazda B3000, 2004 Mazda B2300, 2003 Mazda B4000, and 2003 Mazda B3000. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

CAUTION: Never use air tools to install lug bolts. The serrations can be stripped from the stud.

Insert a new lug bolt in the hole in the axle flange, making sure serrations are aligned with those made by the original lug bolt.

Seat new lug bolt in axle flange.
- Place four flatwashers over the outside end of the lug bolt.
- Thread a standard lug nut with the flat side against the washers.
- Tighten the lug nut until the lug bolt head seats against the back side of the flange.

Remove the lug nut and flatwashers.
Install the rear brake drum.
Install the wheel and tire assembly.
Lower the vehicle.
