Upper Arm Removal - 4x4

  1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
  3. Use a suitable jack stand to support the front suspension lower arm.
  4. Remove the pinch bolt.

    CAUTION: Before separating the front suspension upper arm from the front wheel knuckle, secure the front wheel knuckle to prevent it from tilting outward. Failure to do so can cause damage to the front axle shaft.
  5. Separate the front suspension upper arm from the front wheel knuckle.
    1. Remove the two nuts and alignment plates.
    2. Remove the two bolts and the cams.
    3. Remove the front suspension upper arm.
