Cooling Fan Motor: 3.0L

  1. Verify that the battery is fully charged.
  2. Disconnect the fan control module 3-pin harness connector.
  3. Connect the positive battery voltage and an ammeter to the fan control module connector on fan motor side. See Fig 1.
  4. Verify that the fan motor operates smoothly at the standard current draw (11.8-14.8 amps). If not as specified, replace the fan motor.
  5. Repeat procedure for cooling fan motor No. 2.
