EGR Valve Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  3. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
  4. Remove the air cleaner and the air hose as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the upper radiator hose (engine side). (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Disconnect the EGR valve connector.
  7. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

  8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
