Side Step Molding Removal

  1. Remove the fasteners A.

  2. Affix the protective tape to the clip B location.
  3. Insert the plastic spatula in the clip B location.

  4. Insert the removal tool in the clip B location.
  5. Move the removal tool in the direction of arrow shown in the figure and then remove clips B.
    CAUTION:
    • If the end of the side step molding is pulled when removing clip B, the clip B installation area may be damaged. Remove clip B from the vehicle body using a fastener remover.
    NOTE:
    • Leave the disengaged clip B in place in consideration of the servicing.

  6. Slide the side step molding in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the side step molding from clips C.

  7. After removing the side step molding, remove clips C from the body using a fastener remover.
