DTC P1536:13 [BCM]: Notes

DTC P1536:13 Parking brake switch circuit malfunction
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • Open circuit in parking brake switch circuit with the parking brake lever applied (parking brake switch on).
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION 
  • Inhibits the brake system warning light illumination.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Parking brake switch connector or terminals malfunction
  • Parking brake switch malfunction
  • BCM connector or terminals malfunction
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between parking brake switch terminal A and BCM terminal 2Q
  • BCM malfunction
