Diagnostic Procedure

STEP INSPECTION ACTION
1 VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED 
  • Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
 Yes Go to the next step.
No Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.
2 VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY 
  • Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability.
  • Is any related Service Bulletins available?
 Yes Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Bulletins.
  • If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
3 VERIFY RELATED PENDING CODE OR STORED DTCs 
  • Switch the ignition off then to the ON position (Engine off).
  • Verify the related PENDING CODE or stored DTCs using the M-MDS.
 Yes Go to the appropriate DTC troubleshooting.

No Go to the next step
4 INSPECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE PROCESSOR 
  • Switch the ignition off.
  • Disconnect the battery and wait for 1 min  .
  • Connect the battery.
  • Start the engine and warm it up completely.
  • Allow the engine idle to stabilize.
  • Access FTP PID.
  • Is the pressure equal to 0 kPa {0 kgf/cm 2  , 2.0 psi}  .
 Yes Go to Step 6.
No Go to the next step.
5 INSPECT FOR SELF-TEST DTC P260F:00 
  • Idle the engine 2 min  .
  • Perform the KOER self-test.

    (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST .)

  • Is DTC P260F:00 present?
 Yes Go to the next step.
No Troubleshooting completed.
6 INSPECT PCM FOR LATEST CALIBRATION 
  • Program the PCM to the latest calibration.
  • Switch the ignition ON (Engine running).
  • Idle the engine for 2 min  .
  • Perform the KOER self-test.

    (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST .)

  • Is DTC P260F:00 present?
 Yes Go to the next step.
(The system is operating normally at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.)
No Troubleshooting completed.
7 VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P260F:00 HAS BEEN COMPLETED 
  • Verify that all disconnected connectors reconnected.
  • Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
  • Perform the all OBD-II Drive Mode procedures.

    (See OBD-II DRIVE MODE .)

  • Is the PENDING CODE for the DTC present?
 Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

Go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
8 VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE 
 Yes Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No Troubleshooting completed.
