Diagnostic Procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability. Is any related Service Bulletins available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Bulletins. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT PCM FOR LATEST CALIBRATION Program the PCM to the latest calibration. Switch the ignition to off. Perform the KOEO self-test. (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST .) Switch the ignition to off. Perform the KOER self-test. (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST .) Use the customer information to recreate the concern. Perform the self-test. Is the DTC P061A:00 present?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Go to Step 4.
3	INSPECT FOR CORRECT PCM OPERATION Disconnect all PCM connectors. Visually inspect for: Pushed out pins Corrosion Reconnect all PCM connectors and verify that they seat correctly. Retrieve the DTCs using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P061A:00 HAS BEEN COMPLETED Verify that all disconnected connectors reconnected. Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .) Perform the KOER self-test. (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Go to the next step.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Perform the "AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .)
5		No	Troubleshooting completed.
