| DETECTION CONDITION |
- P0172:00 indicates that the fuel/air ratio is too rich (RH).
- P0175:00 indicates that the fuel/air ratio is too rich (LH).
- The adaptive fuel strategy continuously monitors the fuel delivery hardware. The test fails when the adaptive fuel tables reach a rich calibrated limit.

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
Fuel System:
- Leaking fuel injectors
- Fuel return line restricted
- Fuel rail pressure sensor bias
- Damaged or leaking fuel pulse damper
- Purge solenoid valve is leaking when the canister is full
Base engine:
Intake Air System:
- Leakage in intake air system
- Contaminated MAF sensor
Electrical System:
- MAF sensor malfunction
- PCM malfunction
