Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record FREEZE FRAME DATA on repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY Verify related Service Bulletins and/or on-line repair information availability Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY RELATED PENDING AND STORED DTC Switch the ignition to off, then to ON (engine off). Verify pending and stored DTCs using the M-MDS. Are any other DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [L5] .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	INSPECT PROCESSOR PERFORMANCE Switch the ignition to off. Disconnect the battery cable and wait for 1 min Connect the battery cable Start the engine and warm it up completely. Allow the engine idle to stabilize Access the FTP PID using the M-MDS. Is the pressure equal to 0 kPa {0 kgf/cm ² , 0 psi}?	Yes	Go to Step 6
4		No	Go to the next step
5	INSPECT FOR SELF-TEST DTC P260F:00 Idle the engine 2 min. Perform the KOEO/KOER self test. (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST [L5] .) Is the DTC P260F:00 present?	Yes	Go to the next step
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
6	INSPECT PCM FOR LATEST CALIBRATION Program the PCM to the latest calibration Switch the ignition to ON (engine running). Idle the engine for 2 min Perform the KOEO/KOER self test. (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST [L5] .) Is the DTC P260F:00 present?	Yes	Go to the next step
6		No	DTC troubleshooting completed
7	INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR CONDITION Disconnect the PCM connector Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion) Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Repair or replace the terminal and/or connector, then go to the next step
7		No	Go to the next step.
8	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors. Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS. Perform the KOEO/KOER self test (See KOEO/KOER SELF TEST [L5] ). Is the PENDING CODE for this DTC present?	Yes	Replace the PCM, then go to the next step (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5] .)
8		No	Go to the next step
9	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE. Perform the "AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE". (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [L5] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection (See DTC TABLE [L5] .)
9		No	DTC troubleshooting completed
