DTC P0222:00 [L5]: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSES

TP sensor No. 2 circuit low input |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- If the PCM detects TP sensor No 2 voltage is to be below 0.2 V
after switch the ignition to ON, the PCM determines that TP circuit has a malfunction
Diagnostic support note
- This is a continuous monitor (CCM)
- The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in the first drive cycle
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available
- The DTC is stored in the PCM memory

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Throttle body connector or terminal malfunction
- PCM connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to ground in wiring harness between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
- Short to ground in wiring harness between throttle body terminal C and PCM terminal 2AL
- TP sensor No. 2 malfunction
- Open circuit in wiring harness between throttle body terminal B and PCM terminal 2AO
- Open circuit in wiring harness between throttle body terminal C and PCM terminal 2AL
- PCM malfunction
