Fuel pump circuit open |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- The electronic fuel pump relay monitors the fuel pump unit and secondary circuits for a concern. If the electronic fuel pump relay detects a concern with the fuel pump unit or secondary circuits, the electronic fuel pump relay sends an 80% duty cycle signal on the fuel pump monitor (FPM) circuit to report the concern to the PCM The test fails if the electronic fuel pump relay is still reporting a concern with the fuel pump unit or secondary circuits after a calibrated amount of time.

| POSSIBLE CAUSE |
- Open circuit between electronic fuel pump relay terminal H and fuel pump unit terminal B
- Short to ground between electronic fuel pump relay terminal H and fuel pump unit terminal B
- Open circuit between electronic fuel pump relay terminal B and fuel pump unit terminal D
- Short to power supply between electronic fuel pump relay terminal H and fuel pump unit terminal B
- Short to power supply between electronic fuel pump relay terminal B and fuel pump unit terminal D
- Fuel pump unit malfunction
- Electronic fuel pump relay malfunction
