DTC B118D:11 [Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)]: Notes

B118D:11 REFERENCE

DESCRIPTION Short to ground in BSM indicator light (RH) circuit
DETECTION CONDITION  The BSM control module (RH) monitors the BSM indicator light (RH) load current, while the BSM indicator light (RH) is operating If the increase in the BSM indicator light (RH) load current is more than the specification, the BSM control module (RH) determines that the BSM indicator light (RH) circuit has a short to ground
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between BSM control module (RH) terminal D and power outer mirror (RH) terminal G
  • Power outer mirror (RH) malfunction
  • BSM indicator light (RH) malfunction
  • BSM control module (RH) malfunction
