Wave Washer And Oil Seal Assembly Note

  1. Wrap vinyl tape around the pinion shaft from the notch area of the pinion shaft as shown in the figure, and apply ATF to the surface.

  2. Apply ATF to the oil seal and assemble the wave washer and oil seal to the pinion shaft.
    NOTE:
    • Assemble the oil seal groove area so that it is facing the opposite direction from the bearing.
  3. Remove the tape wrapped around the pinion shaft.
