DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P2544:00	Engine torque signal error (invalid signal)
DETECTION CONDITION	If the engine torque signal or engine torque-loss signal from the PCM, which is transmitted using the CAN communication, is invalid and the condition has continued for 500 ms or more. Diagnostic support note: The MIL illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. The AT warning light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle PENDING CODE is not available. FREEZE FRAME DATA is available. The DTC is stored in the TCM memory

PCM malfunction
TCM malfunction
