DTC P0977:00 [Aw6A-El]: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P0977:00	Shift solenoid B circuit malfunction (short to power/open circuit)
DETECTION CONDITION	Open or short circuit in shift solenoid B signal system (The solenoid remains on continuously for 100 ms or more even if the TCM sends a solenoid off command). Diagnostic support note: The MIL does not illuminate. The AT warning light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. PENDING CODE is not available. FREEZE FRAME DATA is available. The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	Coupler component connector or terminal malfunction Short to power supply in wiring harness between shift solenoid B terminal A and TCM terminal B2 Shift solenoid B connector or terminal malfunction Shift solenoid B malfunction Open circuit between shift solenoid B terminal A and TCM terminal B2 TCM malfunction
