DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Shift solenoid A circuit malfunction (short to power/open circuit) |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- Open or short circuit in shift solenoid A signal system (The solenoid remains on continuously for 100 ms or more even if the TCM sends a solenoid off command).
Diagnostic support note:
- The MIL illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
- The AT warning light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
- PENDING CODE is not available.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.

- Coupler component connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between shift solenoid A terminal A and TCM terminal B5
- Shift solenoid A connector or terminal malfunction
- Shift solenoid A malfunction
- Open circuit between shift solenoid A terminal A and TCM terminal B5
- TCM malfunction
