DTC P0819:00 [Aw6A-El]: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Manual switch/up switch/down switch circuit malfunction (open circuit/short circuit) |
| DETECTION CONDITION |
- Any of the following conditions are detected for 10 s or more when engine is running:
- 5 V detected at TCM terminals A7 when in any position except D or M range
- 0 V detected at TCM terminal A7 when 5 V are input to TCM terminal A3 or A4
Diagnostic support note:
- The MIL does not illuminate if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
- A PENDING CODE is not available.
- FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
- The AT warning light illuminates.
- The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.

- Selector lever component connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to GND in wiring harness between selector lever component terminal A and TCM terminal A3
- Short to GND in wiring harness between selector lever component terminal B and TCM terminal A4
- Short to GND in wiring harness between selector lever component terminal C and TCM terminal A7
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between selector lever component terminal A and TCM terminal A3
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between selector lever component terminal B and TCM terminal A4
- Short to power supply in wiring harness between selector lever component terminal C and TCM terminal A7
- M range switch malfunction
- Up switch malfunction
- Down switch malfunction.
- TCM connector or terminal malfunction
- Open circuit between selector lever component terminal A and TCM terminal A3
- Open circuit between selector lever component terminal B and TCM terminal A4
- Open circuit between selector lever component terminal C and TCM terminal A7
- TCM malfunction
