DTC P0712:00 [Aw6A-El]: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P0712:00	TFT sensor circuit malfunction (short to GND)
DETECTION CONDITION	TCM detects ATF temperature of 200°C {392°F} or more. Diagnostic support note: The MIL illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. The AT warning light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. PENDING CODE is not available. FREEZE FRAME DATA is available. The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	Coupler component connector or terminal malfunction Short to GND in wiring harness between TFT sensor and TCM terminal B8 TFT sensor malfunction TCM malfunction
