DTC P0712:00 [FS5A-El]: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC P0712:00	TFT sensor circuit low input
DETECTION CONDITION	The TCM detects that input voltage from the TFT sensor is less than 0.12 V for 150 s at vehicle speed 20 km/h {12 mph} or more. Diagnostic support note The MIL illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. The AT warning light illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle. PENDING CODE is available. FREEZE FRAME DATA is available. The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	Coupler component connector or terminal malfunction Short to GND in wiring harness between TFT sensor and TCM terminal 2M TFT sensor malfunction TCM connector or terminal malfunction TCM malfunction
