Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	PERFORM PCM DTC INSPECTION Perform the PCM DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [L5] .) (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZI-3.7] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [L5] .) (See DTC TABLE [MZI-3.7] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT DSC HU/CM FOR MISMATCHED INSTALLATION Verify the DSC HU/CM part number. Is the correct DSC HU/CM installed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Replace the DSC HU/CM to correct part number of it, then go to Step 4. (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3	PERFORM DSC HU/CM CONFIGURATION Perform the DSC HU/CM configuration using the M-MDS. (See DSC CONFIGURATION .) Clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM memory using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Switch the ignition to ON Perform the DSC DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Perform the DSC HU/CM configuration again, then go to the next step. (See DSC CONFIGURATION .)
3		No	Go to Step 5.
4	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM memory using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Switch the ignition to ON. Perform the DSC DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step. (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] .)
5	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE Are any DTCs present?	No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
