EGR Valve Removal/Installation [L5]

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the engine coolant from the radiator. See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L5] .
- Remove the air cleaner and the air hose as a single unit. See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5] .
- Remove the radiator hose (upper, engine side). See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5] .
- Disconnect the EGR valve connector.
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
