Fuel Line Safety Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fuel-filler cap to release the pressure inside the fuel tank.
  3. Remove the fuse (FUEL PUMP 25A).
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5] .
  5. Start the engine.
  6. After the engine stalls, crank the engine 3-4 times.
  7. Switch the ignition to off.
  8. Install the fuse (FUEL PUMP 25A).
