Intake-Air System Removal/Installation [L5]: Notes

WARNING:
- A hot engine and intake air system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the intake air system.
- Fuel line spills and leakage from the pressurized fuel system are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injury or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedure".
CAUTION:
- Parts for engines manufactured in Mexico and Hiroshima cannot be used interchangeably as the engine will not operate correctly resulting in a serious malfunction. To prevent this, when replacing parts refer to the VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) CODE table below and verify the engine's place of manufacture before performing the servicing. - Complete the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION". See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION [L5] .
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5] .
- Remove in the order indicated in the table.
- Install in the reverse order of removal
- Complete the "AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION". See AFTER SERVICE PRECAUTION [L5] .
