Pinpoint Test 5: The Interior Courtesy Lamp(s) Are Inoperative




PINPOINT TEST 5: THE INTERIOR COURTESY LAMP(S) ARE INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation

Power is supplied to the courtesy lamps through the smart junction box (SJB) fuse 9 (15A) Based on the input status, the SJB supplies voltage to the interior courtesy lamps through circuit (GY/V). Ground for the courtesy lamps is supplied through circuit (B/GY).

- DTC B2A35 (Interior Lighting Output Circuit Open) - an on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects an open from the courtesy lighting output circuit.
- DTC B2A36 (Interior Lighting Output Circuit Short to Ground) - a continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects a short to ground from the courtesy lighting output circuit.

Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Interior lamp
- SJB

Diagnostic Procedure

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
NOTE:Make sure the interior lamp switches are in the DOOR position before carrying out diagnostics.
