PINPOINT TEST 4: THE DOME DEFEAT FEATURE IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation

The SJB sends a voltage reference signal to the instrument panel dimmer switch through circuit (W/BR) to monitor the dome defeat input request. When the instrument panel dimmer switch is in the DOME DEFEAT position, the signal is routed to ground indicating a request for the dome defeat feature.

Possible Causes
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Instrument panel dimmer switch
- SJB

Diagnostic Procedure

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
