Parking Brake Cable - Front Removal/Installation

PARKING BRAKE CABLE - FRONT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION









1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See Lifting.

2. Remove the parking brake control. See Service and Repair.

3. Remove the floor console. See Service and Repair.

4. Remove the driver side front seat. See Removal and Replacement.

5. Remove the 3 front parking brake cable bracket bolts.

- To install, tighten to 23 Nm {2.3 kgf-m, 17 ft-lbf}.





6. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the RR parking brake cable connector by releasing the locking tab.





7. Disconnect the front parking brake cable conduit from the LR parking brake cable.

8. Release the front parking brake cable pass-through grommet from the vehicle underbody.

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
