Fuel Line Safety Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  2. Remove the fuel-filler cap to release the pressure inside the fuel tank.
  3. Remove the fuse (FUEL PUMP 25A).
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  5. Start the engine.
  6. After the engine stalls, crank the engine 2-3 times  .
  7. Switch the ignition to off.
  8. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  9. Install the fuse (FUEL PUMP 25A).
