EGR Valve Removal/Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.5] .)
  2. Drain the engine coolant from the radiator. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
  3. Remove the air cleaner and the air hose as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the radiator hose (upper, engine side). (See RADIATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Disconnect the EGR valve connector.
  6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
    EGR VALVE REMOVAL REFERENCE CHART

    1 Water hose
    2 EGR valve
    3 Gasket
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
