Power Steering Pressure (PSP) Switch Inspection

Inspect the following if the power steering is inoperative: (See POWER STEERING FLUID INSPECTION .)
- Power steering fluid level
- Power steering fluid leakage
- Power steering fluid pressure
Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Disconnect the PSP switch connector.
Reconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Start the engine.

Inspect for continuity between PSP switch terminal A and body ground.

If not as specified, replace the PSP switch. (See POWER STEERING OIL PUMP DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY .)

Steering wheel in straight ahead position	No continuity
While turning steering wheel	Continuity detected
