No. 24 Engine Stalls When Shifted To D, M Or In R Position: Notes

DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

24  Engine stalls when shifted to D, M or in R position 
DESCRIPTION 
  • Engine stalls when shifting from N or P position to D, M or R position at idle.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • The malfunction is on the engine control side (i.e. electronic throttle control system). Otherwise, the malfunction is in the input/turbine speed sensor (engine sometimes starts) or the TCC circuit (engine always stalls).
