DTC P2709:00: Notes

DTC DESCRIPTION CHART

DTC P2709:00 Shift solenoid F electrical malfunction
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The TCM detects that output voltage to the shift solenoid F is stuck at 0 V or B+ when the solenoid valve operates according to TCM calculation.
Diagnostic support note 
  • The MIL illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • The AT warning light illuminates.
  • PENDING CODE is available.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Coupler component connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between shift solenoid F terminal A and TCM terminal 1J
  • Short to GND in wiring harness between shift solenoid F terminal A and TCM terminal 1J
  • Shift solenoid F malfunction
  • TCM connector or terminal malfunction
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between shift solenoid F terminal A and TCM terminal 1J
  • TCM malfunction
