DTC P0708:00: Notes

DTC DESCRIPTION CHART

DTC P0708:00 TR switch circuit high input
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • The TCM detects that input voltage from the TR switch is 4.78 V or more for 5 s when the following conditions are met.
    • Input voltage from the battery: 9 V or more
    • Vehicle speed: 8 km/h {5 mph} or more

    Diagnostic support note 

  • The MIL illuminates if the TCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
  • The AT warning light illuminates.
  • PENDING CODE is available.
  • FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
  • The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • TR switch connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between TR switch terminal C and TCM terminal 2H
  • TR switch malfunction
  • TCM connector or terminal malfunction
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between TR switch terminal C and TCM terminal 2H
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between TR switch terminal B and TCM terminal 20
  • TCM malfunction
