| 2 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE RELAY CONNECTOR CONDITION
|
Yes | Repair or replace the terminal and/or connector, then go to Step 16. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 3 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE RELAY SECONDARY POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND OR OPEN CIRCUIT

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Inspect the MAIN 125 A fuse and FAN 60 A fuse.
Go to Step 16. |

| 4 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE RELAY PRIMARY POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND OR OPEN CIRCUIT

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Inspect the ENGINE IG 15 A fuse.
Go to Step 16. |

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Repair or replace the following:
Go to Step 16. |

| 6 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE RELAY

Yes | Replace the fan control module relay, then go to Step 16. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 7 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR CONDITION

Yes | Repair or replace the terminal and/or connector, then go to Step 16. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 8 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND

Yes | Repair or replace the wiring harness for a possible short to ground, then go to Step 16. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 9 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Repair or replace the wiring harness for a possible open circuit, then go to Step 16. | ||
| 10 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Repair or replace the following:

Yes | If the short to ground circuit could be detected:

Yes | Repair or replace the terminal and/or connector, then go to Step 16. |

| 13 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY

Yes | Repair or Replace the wiring harness for a possible short to power supply, then go to Step 16. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 14 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Repair or replace the wiring harness for a possible open circuit, then go to Step 16. | ||
| 15 | INSPECT FAN CONTROL MODULE

Yes | Replace the fan control module, then go to the next step. (See COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 16 | VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
|
Yes | Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

| 17 | VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
