VERIFY the safety belt warning indicator operates correctly.

|

RETRIEVE the recorded diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from both the continuous and on-demand instrument cluster self-tests.

| The chime sounds when the driver door is ajar (no key in ignition and headlamps off) |

|
DISCONNECT all the instrument cluster connectors. CHECK for corrosion and pushed-out pins. CONNECT all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly. OPERATE the system and VERIFY the concern is still present. If the concern is still present, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . TEST the system for normal operation. |
