Normal Operation
NOTE:
- The smart junction box (SJB) is also known as the generic electronic module (GEM).
The instrument cluster receives the speed control status from the SJB/GEM over the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN) communication bus. When the speed control has been engaged, the SJB/GEM sends a message to the instrument cluster to illuminate the speed control indicator. The instrument cluster sets DTC U0100 in continuous memory if the speed control message is missing for more than 5 seconds and the instrument cluster turns off the speed control indicator.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- PCM
- Instrument cluster
