Possible Causes
- BJB fuse 17 (40A)
- Circuit open
- Circuit shorted
- Hydraulic control unit
- ABS module
CAUTION:
- Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multimeter probes.

| 2 | CHECK CIRCUIT (R) FOR AN OPEN

Yes | Go to next step. |
| No | Verify BJB fuse 17 (40A) is OK. If OK, repair circuit (R) for an open. Clear the DTCs. Test the system for normal operation. | ||
| 3 | CHECK CIRCUIT (B) FOR AN OPEN

Yes | Go to next step. |
| No | Repair circuit (B) for an open. Clear DTCs. Test the system for normal operation. | ||
| 4 | CHECK FOR CORRECT ABS MODULE OPERATION

Yes | Go to next step. |
| No | The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. Repeat the self-test with the brake pedal not applied. | ||
| 5 | CHECK THE ABS PUMP MOTOR FOR CORRECT OPERATION

Yes | Install a new ABS module. see ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE After the repairs, CARRY OUT the self-test with the brake pedal not applied. |
| No | INSTALL a new HCU. see HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) . Clear the DTCs. Carry out the self-test with the brake pedal not applied. | ||
