Disconnect (Vapor Tube Fitting - Push Release)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mazda Tribute, 2003 Mazda Protege5, 2003 Mazda Protege, 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and 2003 Mazda MPV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: The evaporative emission system contains fuel vapor and condenses fuel vapor. Although not present in large quantities, it still presents the danger of explosion or fire. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery to minimize the possibility of an electrical spark occurring, possibly causing fire or explosion if the fuel vapor or fuel liquid is present in the area.
NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis refer to numbers in illustrations.
