Fuel Vapor Vent (FVV) Valve System

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mazda Tribute, 2003 Mazda Protege5, 2003 Mazda Protege, 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and 2003 Mazda MPV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The FVV valve assembly is mounted on fuel tank and uses a small orifice which allows fuel vapor (not liquid) to pass into the line running to the charcoal canister. Fuel vapors in the fuel tank are vented through the FVV valve assembly. Fuel vapors are routed through a vapor line to the charcoal canister in the engine compartment.
