Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET TUBE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L , .
  3. Remove the bolt and the splash shield.

  4. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

  5. Disconnect the accelerator cable, cruise control actuator cable and return spring.

  6. Remove the bolts and the throttle body.

  7. If required, remove the throttle body gasket.
  8. If required, remove the TP sensor. See THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L , .
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
