Removal Note

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Remove the front cover. See ENGINE FRONT COVER REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L , .
  3. Rotate the crankshaft and align the timing marks.

  4. Remove the bolt.

  5. Remove the timing chain, camshaft sprocket and crankshaft sprocket as an assembly.
