Removal Note

CAUTION:
  • Do not use oil or grease-based lubricants on the isolators. These lubricants may cause deterioration of the rubber. This can lead to separation of the isolator from the exhaust hanger bracket during vehicle operation.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) and catalyst monitor sensor electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the exhaust down pipe-to-muffler and tailpipe assembly bolts.
  4. Remove the exhaust manifold-to-exhaust down pipe assembly bolts.

  5. Remove the transmission mount and isolator-to-transmission bolt and remove the exhaust down pipe.
