Removal Note

  1. Remove the transmission. See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL / INSTALLATION , or MANUAL TRANSMISSION REMOVAL / INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the clutch, if equipped. See CLUTCH DISC AND COVER REMOVAL / INSTALLATION .

  3. Install the flywheel locking tool SST  and remove the bolts and the flywheel or flexplate.
