Filling and Bleeding Procedure For Use With Partial Drain

  1. Ensure the radiator draincock is completely closed.
  2. Fill the system through the degas bottle cap to 15 mm above the maximum fill level.
  3. Install the degas bottle cap.
    WARNING:
    • Do not stand in line with or near the engine cooling fan blade when revving the engine. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
  4. Start the engine and hold the engine speed at 2,500 RPM for approximately eight minutes until the thermostat opens.
  5. Maintain the engine speed at 2,500 RPM for an additional three minutes.
  6. Increase engine speed to 4,000 RPM and hold for five seconds.
  7. Return the engine speed to 2,500 RPM and hold for an additional three minutes.
  8. Stop the engine and check for leaks.
